ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Colleen Mauer

Q.What do people not know about you or your work?

A. I am a dreamer and a risk taker. I quit my job when I was 26 years old to pursue my jewelry business full time. I knew that I could succeed, I just had to remove everything that was somehow preventing me from taking the full leap. Essentially, blind faith has allowed me to become a successful business owner and jewelry artist.

Q. What do you want people to think and experience when viewing your artwork?

A. I want people to feel connected to the jewelry. I love when people touch my jewelry or want to try it on. Jewelry can really become a part of someone's identity, and I feel most successful when buyers tell me that they wear a piece of my jewelry every single day.
